Context: Cyndir get's a letter saying her mother wants to meet her boyfriend. Fearing for her life she asks for an assignment and leaves you alone to meet the Mother.

[Scene opens up early in the morning]

[SFX: Knocking on the door]

"*Yawning* I'm coming, I'm coming."

[SFX: Knocking harder]

"*Annoyed* All right, all right. keep your armor on. Geeze."

[SFX: Door opening]

"What?"

[A squire hands you a piece of paper saying it's urgent]

"Urgent huh? Let's see."

[SFX: Breaking the seal and unraveling the paper]

"Dear Cyndir, I have heard about your recent trials...haven't heard from you in a while...coming to visit...signed...Oh no. Oh, no, no no."

[She slams the door and rustles around to get properly dressed.]

[SFX: Door swinging open]

"I GOT TO TALK TO BOSS IMMEDIATELY!"

[She runs off to the vice-captain's quarters]

[SFX: Constant knocking]

"Boss, boss. Please get up, this is an emergency."

[You get up and open the door]

[SFX: hitting metal]

"Boss, boss. Please, this is...really...important...um...hi."

[Pause]

"C-can I come in?"

[You nod]

"Thank you."

[She walks into your room and you shut the door]

"So, um...anyways. I kind of want to ask of you for a favor."

[You stop her right there]

"Come on dude. Just let me say-"

[SFX: Paper being open]

"Huh? What's this?"

[She reads it.]

"*Gasp* YES! Yes, yes, yes. This is amazing. I have royal guard duty!"

[You are surprised by her happiness]

"You have no idea how much I am looking forward to this."

[SFX: Kissing]

"Thank you, thank you, than you."

[SFX: running out and shutting the door]

[SFX: Opening the door.]

"Oh, and by the way, my mother is coming into town to meet you...bye~"

[You stop her before she could leave]

"Wait, but I have-"

[You pull her back in]

"But my duty and all..."

[You tell her to sit down]

"Okay, I'm sitting. I'm sitting."

[You ask what does she mean her mothers coming here]

"Well, she kind of was getting curious on why I haven't came over to visit her...and with all that has been going on..."

[You facepalm]

"Hey, in my defense I was going to write to her."

[Pause]

"I mean...you know, eventually."

[She hears you groan at the statement]

"Boss seriously. You can't say that you never forgot to write to your mother once in a while."

[You say never]

"Really, never?"

[You nod and explain why]

"So the reason you always write to your mother is because you don't want to end up in the doghouse."

[You nod]

"*Groans* Boss, please. I could really use your help."

[Pause]

"I'll do it."

[You raise an eyebrow]

"Don't think that I won't, because I will."

[You say she wouldn't dare]

"Oh, I wouldn't dare; would I?"

[You tell her to stop]

"*Puppy dogs eyes* Pwese boss? Pwetty pwese with extra gems on top?"

[You ask her to please stop]

"*Continuing* Come on Boss, you can't resist my Puppy dog eyes."

[You eventually begrudgingly agree]

"*Smug* I knew it, the puppy dog eyes never fail."

[You ask her where she's going to meet her]

"Well...that's the thing. It's going to be the center of town."

[Pause]

"Oh, don't worry. She'll be there quickly."

[You ask how quick]

"I mean, if the weather is good today...later in the afternoon."

[You facepalm again]

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I swear that I will make it up to you."

[You ask if that's all]

"Well, she doesn't know that your a human...or a knight."

[You groan again]

"Hey, she doesn't know that I'm a knight as well...so consider me in more hot water than you."

[Pause]

"I do appreciate you doing this for me."

[SFX: Kissing]

"Thanks again...Well, off to protect some royals."

[You ask her to finish the note]

"Wha-what do you mean?"

[She looks back at the note]

"*Reading quickly*…been summoned...watch over prince and princess...attending a playdate? How old are these royals?"

[You hold up one hand and a few fingers]

"What? *Groans* You mean I have to babysit a bunch of Rugrats?!"

[You nod as she mumbles]

"Still better than seeing my mom,"

[She looks back at you]

"Well, I catch you later boss."

[She walks out]

[Scene continues in the town square]

[SFX: People talking]

[You put up a sign that says "Welcome Cyndir's Mom"]

[SFX: Dragon roaring and wings flapping]

[A giant dragon lands in the middle of the town square]

"Well now, isn't this a treat~. It's not often that I see a bunch of humans walking about...when a dragon approaches."

[You approach her and ask if she is cyndir's mom]

"Oh~. A brave one. Not often I see a human who doesn't just come up to me and state something cliché as "Begone, Demon!" This is quite interesting."

[You sate that you will not repeat the question]

"*Chuckles* Quite the cocky human aren't we? Well, to humor your question. I do have a daughter named Cyndir. Why? Has she done something to you humans?"

[You show her the banner]

"Welcome, Cyndir's mo-Oh? Could it be you were expecting me?"

[You nod]

"*Laughing loudly and manically* Now I have seen it all. Not only are you humans not afraid of me, but you were expecting me? *laughs a little* This is...this is too much."

[She holds her side as she tries to compose herself]

"No...no...wait...I-*She continues laughing* I...I can't."

[You ask her if she would be willing to control herself for a moment]

"Okay...okay. I think I got it out of my system."

[She sighs as she catches her breath]

"Okay. So let me get this straight, you all know Cyndir…and she probably told you that I was coming. Right?"

[You nod]

"Okay then. With that all settled; where is my daughter?"

[Pause]

"Well? Out with it."

[You first ask her if she can transform to a human form]

"Oh~? Could it be that this brave human who was so bold as to come up to me and ask me so bluntly about who I am is now afraid of me?"

[You mention the people behind her]

"Oh...um...right...I guess being a big burly dragon in the middle of a town square...during rush hour doesn't help. One moment."

[SFX: Transforming to a human]

"Would this form be more acceptable for you humans in the height of traffic?"

[You nod]

"You seem to have some care for these humans. Judging by the armor, I assume a Knight?"

[You nod again]

"Just so you know, I don't really trust humans...Knights especially. I will however humor you and allow this to be solved via our words instead of our muscles."

[You thank her for her cooperation]

"Now, back to the matter at hand. Where is my daughter?"

[You say that she couldn't make it]

"Couldn't make it? She couldn't make time for her old...decerped mother. I might as well lie on the road and wait for a wagon to run me over. At least that, I can expect a wagon to hit me."

[You assure her it was urgent]

"More urgent than seeing her mother. To whom, she haven't wrote a letter towards in over two months?"

[You ask if she is willing to listen to your explanation]

"I'm sure that Cyndir probably put you up to this. Don't fret young Knight, if I was here to eat and/or burn this entire town down, don't you think I would of done so by now?"

[You can't argue with her on that one]

"So tell me, there was this boy...that my daughter is particular fond over. Do you happen to know where he is? I wish to judge his character myself. Before the rest of my children get their claws on him."

[You ask "Cyndir has siblings?"]

"Well, I'm sure she doesn't talk about them much. Due to the fact that she's my youngest of six."

[You sit down at the thought of five more like Cyndir]

"It must be a lot to take in. Yes, I do have six children. Three boys, and three girls. Judging by your reaction she never mention this. If you are curious, I can tell you why?"

[You say that's your listening]

"Well, being the youngest...and in many cases the weakest, the other siblings use to bully her a lot. Don't get me wrong, some of them do care about her. When I mentioned that I was going to see this "Beloved" that she kept going on and on about they all insisted on meeting him as well."

[Pause]

"To not embarrass her or harm the "Beloved" I volunteered to go alone. To the protest of my own children."

[You ask what does she hope to accomplish]

"Well, I don't want you to repeat this to my daughter...She's...kind of special to me."

[You raise an eyebrow]

"Oh, don't get me wrong. I love all my children equally, it's just she reminds me of my husband when he was younger."

[She sighs]

"Man, I miss that hunk of a dragon man."

[You clear your throat]

"Oh...um, anyways. I think it was only appropriate I meet this young man myself. If he doesn't meet my standers...let's just say; a mother has a way of calling their children when she needs them."

[You wonder why she doesn't call Cyndir]

"I know that look. "Why don't I call Cyndir then"?"

[Pause]

"I'll tell you. I find it more appropriate that my children come to me, of their own free will. Hench, why Cyndir hasn't been in contact with me."

[Pause]

"My other children however, are ready and waiting. Beckoning at my call."

[Pause]

"So there you have it, I am waiting for my child to come to me. To judge the "Beloved" in place of my children, and most importantly; to see if they are worthy."

[You ask if you can talk to her privately]

"Hm? Talk to me privately? What for?"

[You plead with her]

"Okay, okay. Fine."

[You two walk into a room privately together]

"Just so you know; I am married and knights are not-"

[You say it isn't that]

"Oh, than what is it?"

[you explain why Cyndir can't come]

"Wait, so your telling me that there is a civic duty that she has that she cannot and will not disobey? Why?"

[You explain the circumstances]

"Ah. I see, a lot of responsibilities."

[Pause]

"So what is her job here anyways?"

[Pause]

"I mean, she must have a job. Right?"

[You nod]

"So what exactly is...her job?"

[You ask her to not get mad]

"I mean, it's not like she's a Knight, right? I mean can you see it. A dragon Knight. A clear definition of an Oxymoron."

[Pause]

"Wait...she is a Knight?"

[You nod]

"Tch, next thing your going to tell me is that your his boyfriend."

[Pause]

"Oh...my...goodness...You are Cyndir's boyfriend?!"

[You nod]

"*Sits down* I can't believe it."

[You ask if there is any issue]

"I just...neverminded. Anyways, I can't say truthfully if your a good person for my daughter."

[You understand]

"However, I can say that she does have better judgment in men than her other sisters. That being said, I think it would be best if I don't support your relationship..."

[You feel defeated]

"Well, at lest publicly."

[You look up]

"Now listen; I hope you understand when I say, if you break my youngest heart; they will never find your body."

[You get a chill but you say you understand]

"Good. *starts to walk away* A knight. Hard to believe."

[You ask if you can ask one last thing before she goes]

"Very well, but make it quick."

[You ask why she hates knights]

"For the better of keeping up with the status quo, let's just leave it with...It's personal."

[You nod]

"Ok, well. I'll see you later then."

[She fly's away]

"Oh, and make sure my daughter writes to me...less she feel my fury."

[You nod as she flies away]

[Fade to black]
