So, I'm sure most of y'all are familiar with Nonchalance (the people behind The Jejune Institute/other Bay Area based interactive projects and the basis for AMC's "Dispatches from Elsewhere").
This week saw the release of the documentary "In Bright Axiom" (directed by Spencer McCall, who also did "The Institute"), chronicling the rise and fall of their project, The Latitude Society (available here, for those interested) . It's a neat look at what goes into making these types of experiences that a lot of people here would probably enjoy!
That's only part of the reason for this post, though.
On the movie's website is a link "for the curious" that invites people living in or near various cities (San Francisco, Oakland, Portland, Milwaukee, Chicago, Chattanooga, Birmingham, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Winston-Salem, Toronto, Canada or Cork, Ireland) to follow a set of instructions in order to receive "words of orientation".
Beyond that, there's not much else that can be said, but if you are curious, consider checking it out, who knows where it will lead?
(And if you're interested in participating in a similar experience, consider investigating the semi-related (made by previous collaborators of Nonchalance) rabbit hole that is Crystore Inc., but that's a whole other post ;)).
