Part rant, part genuine question. He feels terrible to play against, and almost impossible to lose with when you get him. I know he E was nerfed for ARAM, but still; maxing it first gives you a massive AoE 2.5second stun. If you have any ranged champs at all, it's like shooting fish in a barrel even if you don't stun.

His passive means you can build tankier if you want to; I like RoA into Warmogs to tank poke as I set up the cage, then backing off to heal it up. You can get loads of AP for free just with your E so you're not forced to battle over farm with your team unlike someone like Nasus.

His Q and W are solid wave clear, and the latter gets super spammable late. He doesn't have mana problems thanks to the ARAM increased mana regen buff, and my preferred build having RoA patches that up anyway.

His R is a no skill required point and click nuke that can delete squishies from even relatively high HP, and can finish off low HP tanks decently frequently too.

And for all that, his nerfs are the E cooldown and -10%/ 10% dealt/received, compared to someone like Ziggs who gets all around -20 AH, and -20%/ 20% dealt/received.

Are there any champs you feel perform better than Veigar? I know Smoulder is apparently doing incredibly as well atm, but I've literally not seen a single one, so kinda hard to personally gauge how well.
