I could have sworn there was a point recently where some sites, including YouTube, disabled infinite scroll due to backlash over the addictive nature of it, but asking around now no one has any recollection of this and I can’t find any mention of it through a google search, so I’m guessing my brain just made up something that never happened.

Regardless, my recommended feed on my YouTube app (iOS) has had a stopping point for awhile now. It’s been really helpful for me, and nearly every day I watch videos until I hit the point where I can’t keep scrolling. That’s how I’ve been controlling my usage, along with time limits. However this morning I just kept scrolling, and scrolling…no matter how far I scrolled I couldn’t reach the “end.” Is infinite scrolling back? Was it ever gone, or did I have a bug for about a year? Is there a way to disable infinite scroll? Does anyone know anything about this?
