My brother recently became a widow, more or less out of the blue. He has two kids under 15 to raise and I noticed he has classic symptoms of ADHD when I saw him last. His wife used to be pretty mean to him about his multi tasking and what looks like a lot of tail chasing to me. Now that I have been reading up on ADHD because of a diagnosed love interest, it’s very clear my brother needs to be evaluated.
Here’s the problem - he’s 50 and he’s very cheap. Where can he go before his health insurance runs out to get an accurate and efficient evaluation? I am really worried about his kids - and even though he likely will refuse meds, I think there is some value in him knowing his executive functioning skills are way too low to be the only functioning adult in the house now that his hyper organized wife is gone.
