So recently I finished my ADHD screening over like 3 sessions. It was basically an IQ test with tests for different types of memory. I can't remember what they were called (lol). So once it was done we went over all the scores and whatnot. Now this is not to be a brag (I really don't want it to come off that way, I'm just and with words), I'm just providing context for a question I have later. She said most of my scores were the highest she's ever seen in her office on the IQ test portions. But on the memory tests I was at the very bottom of what's considered the average range, or slightly below in one area. Since it was mostly in the normal range for the different memory tests (working memory was slightly below average) she said she can't diagnose it as ADHD but I have memory deficits. So my question is, why doesn't my memory results being so low (even though it's barely in the average range) in comparison to my high, others scores show ADHD? I am getting an Autism screening next, so maybe that's it? I'm just confused on what happened. Obviously I am not trying to ask for medical advice, I just want to know whether I'm wrong in my thinking or if it sounds like I should try to get a second opinion?
