Hello! So I am the parent of a kid very closely approaching the age where one can get an ADHD diagnosis, and we are going to be pursuing it based in our pediatrician's advice.
I was looking for advice on how to be the best parent I can for my kid. I have struggled with trying to properly guide, teach, and effectively discipline (like, actually teach discipline, not punish, and especially not abuse) my kid. I want him and our family as a whole to be happy and healthy.
I was hoping you all might be able to point me in a good direction on where I can find helpful advice, and what sources I should avoid because they are harmful or wrong (Kind of like how Autism Speaks is really shitty for actual Autism kids).
To be clear, I am not looking for medical advice or anything. Just any useful resources for how to be an effective and healthy parent, and, ya know, NOT accidently abuse my kid.
