Hello!
I just wanted to share my cannabutter making process. This is my second time making it and I was a little more thorough this time. I’m pretty proud of the final result.
2oz of tropical punch flower 4 sticks of Kerry Gold Unsalted butter Crockpot Edibox Thermometer Water Pot
•I preheated the oven to 244°f •Broke up the flower into pea sized pieces and placed it in the edibox with the thermometer. •Baked…heheheheh…for 1 hour at a steady temp of 240°f (inside the edibox). •Let the bud cool off overnight. •Add 4 sticks of butter to a pot •Bring to a boil and scoop out the rising milk fat. Remove from heat frequently to prevent burning. •Pour butter into crockpot with 34 oz of water and cooled flower. •Stir and set crockpot to low and simmer for 14 hours, stirring every 2-3 hours and replacing water when necessary. •After 14 hours. Strained butter with fine mesh strainer and two cheese cloths and discarded used flower •poured back into pot and refrigerate. Once butter hardened, drain water, scraped off sediment where water and butter met, slowly reheated butter in pot, added fresh water, stir, and refrigerate until hard again, and repeat. I did this 3-4 times until the water was clear. •Dried it off, wrapped it up, and here is the end result!
I’m currently experimenting with the scraped off sediment since it has traces of butter. I had some as a dip with a few chips and spread about a quarter teaspoon total on two pieces of toast.
I was high for 24 hours. 👽
Now I’m pissed that I threw away the flower before the idea to add it to stuff popped into my head.
Tips and recommendations are welcomed! I hope someone found this helpful too!
