New to the printing scene

Decided to try my hand at 3D printing. Did research before starting and got a second ya D ended 3 v2. I did the levels and auto levelling. I did my x axis and bought petg from Amazon (probably a big mistake)

I have the printer set up in my basement (slightly chilly also probably also a problem.

So onto the big problem, when I try to print stuff my printer head will snag on stuff and when it goes to do the second layer the filament doesnโ€™t seem to want to stick to the first layer.

Any advice would be appreciated!
