I've been considering getting back into RS, but really don't want to start over. My two characters were created back in early 2000s, when I was still using a dial-up Internet connection and paid for RS membership by calling a number from my landline telephone. Email accounts for registering and logging in didn't exist back then.

I've tried recovery several times but do not remember any of the password details from 18 years back when I was still in my teens. I remember details of the accounts (such that one was perma-muted) but all recovery attempts are denied in a matter of seconds.

Has anyone had any luck with alternate methods of account recovery for these older accounts?

Edit: looks like the accounts may no longer exist on OSRS :( any tips for best approach to starting afresh??

Edit2: OK, I didn't realise OSRS was a different game entirely. Thanks all - will start over luke everyone else did.
