My wife and I believe that keeping grandparents involved in our kids life is important. About once per month one of our parents takes the kids for a sleepover and my wife and I take advantage of the opportunity and usually make a date night out of it. Last night was one of these occasions. I came home from work to find my wife naked making dinner, while I often come home to her making dinner with little ones her being naked isn't exactly practical. We took advantage of our alone time together watched a movie and just really sat around and enjoyed each other's company. Something that seems to be more and more difficult with kids, work for me, kids friends/activities just taking up more and more time. I know my parents love their time with the little ones and are giving them similar values to ones like my wife and I have about family. But I'm not sure how much they realize they're helping my wife and I enjoy each other as husband and wife. While we are a family, it's important to remember to take the time to be husband and wife.
